Study: Liraglutide, behavioral therapy aid weight loss
Patients with obesity who took liraglutide and had intensive behavioral therapy linked to CMS guidelines lost more weight than those who had behavioral therapy alone, researchers reported in the journal Obesity. Researcher Thomas Wadden said weight loss associated with just behavioral therapy was a positive finding and suggested the next step is for CMS to expand the list of practitioners who can provide this treatment to include independent dietitians.
