Specially made vaccine protects zoo animals from COVID-19


Zoos throughout the US are administering a COVID-19 vaccine donated by Zoetis to nonhuman primates, felids, mustelids and other vulnerable animals. The vaccine is made specifically for animals and is unsuitable for human use, and it is based on other veterinary coronavirus vaccines that have been in use since the 1950s.
