Bill would allow drug sponsors to slip animal tests

Sens. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Corey Booker, D-N.J., have proposed legislation that would revoke FDA requirements that experimental drugs be tested with animals before human testing begins. Under the measure, testing with animals would still be allowed, but drug sponsors would have the option of skipping animal testing. Read more from the NABR fact sheet.
