Pancytopenia in UK cats may be linked to recalled food


A surge in fatal pancytopenia among cats across the UK may be due to contamination in popular dry food that has been recalled, although many cat owners may not be aware of the recall. The Royal Veterinary College said this week that at least 528 feline cases had been reported in the past few months, and more than 63% of those were fatal, but the true death toll could be substantially higher.
