The dog might know what you're thinking, scientist says


Many dog and cat owners are convinced their pets understand words, and studies have found some animals do have a capacity to understand human language. Dogs, cats and horses have a variety of facial expressions that may correspond to their thoughts or emotions, and they may have a capacity to understand human facial expressions as well, writes Nora Bradford, who studies cognitive science at the University of California at Irvine.
