Technology helped veterinarians, trainers bridge social distancing gaps


Dog trainers found success with online lessons and videoconferencing when the COVID-19 pandemic forced social distancing, and while pet day care centers and boarding facilities were less able to adapt, their situation may be brightening amid a surge in pet ownership and resumption of travel. Veterinary practices also had to change their protocols, but technology has helped, says AVMA President Dr. José Arce.
