Veterinarian explains what a healthy pet looks like


More than half of US pets are overweight or obese, predisposing them to health problems, shorter life spans and reduced quality of life. Veterinarian Tai Federico says pets in good condition have a defined waist, a tummy that doesn't sag and ribs that can easily be felt, and owners should work with a veterinarian to determine a safe and effective plan for reducing excess weight.
