Ore. officials confirm 6 equine WNV infections


At least six equine cases of West Nile virus infection have been confirmed in four Oregon counties, and three of the animals had to be euthanized, officials said. In a separate incident, three horses in Linn County, Ore., were diagnosed with equine herpesvirus myeloencephalopathy, and though the farm was quarantined, officials said they are not aware of any possible exposures beyond the property.
