18 of zoo's gorillas test positive for SARS-CoV-2


At least 18 of Zoo Atlanta's 20 western lowland gorillas are infected with SARS-CoV-2, and those at risk of complications are being treated with monoclonal antibodies. Veterinarian Sam Rivera, senior director of animal health at the zoo, says all staff safety protocols were followed, and the gorillas will receive a veterinary SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.
