Ohio state veterinarian known for focus on swine health

Ohio State Veterinarian Tony Forshey has died, according to the Ohio Department of Agriculture, where Dr. Forshey also served as chief of animal health. Dr. Forshey said in a 2020 interview that most swine veterinarians in the state had worked for or with him, and a statement from the Ohio Agricultural Council said his focus on swine herd health and disease prevention helped enable growth in Ohio's swine industry.
