Calif. wildfire damage complicates release of rehabilitated animals


Porcupines are among the latest animals burned by wildfire in California to have fish skin bandages, says veterinarian Kevin Willitts. Staff and volunteers at Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care are also rehabilitating wild animals suffering from smoke inhalation and malnourishment, and staff have had to search for suitable places to release animals once they have healed, says animal care director Denise Upton.
