Minn. bans movement of farmed deer


In an effort to control the spread of chronic wasting disease, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has temporarily banned the intrastate movement of all farmed white-tailed deer except for slaughter through July 31. "We firmly believe this situation is urgent and that it requires a comprehensive approach in order to protect the health of Minnesota's wild deer," said the department.
