Veterinarian's quick thinking mitigates ransomware attack


Veterinarian Tate Posey happened to be at his computer when a ransomware attack started, and he shut down the computer immediately to protect the animal hospital's network. Small businesses and individuals are common targets for hackers, and cybersecurity expert Robert Fellman recommends backing up data frequently, changing passwords often, using a unique password for every account and calling the police immediately in the event of an attack.
