Va. team sees ticks spreading north and south


Biology professor Holly Gaff has been studying ticks since 2009, and she says they have caught more ticks so far this year in coastal Virginia than all of last year, and most are Lone Star ticks. Blacklegged ticks have also been common, and her team has noticed southern ticks moving north and northern ticks spreading south.
