Artificial reef planned to protect Australian beach


A pioneering artificial fringing reef is proposed to help reduce erosion at Australia's C.Y. O'Connor Beach. The state government of Western Australia has approved $160,358 for the reef, which will be up to 110 yards long and placed about 55 yards offshore.
