COVID-19 vaccines effective in preventing ICU admission


Research in The New England Journal of Medicine found mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines achieved 88% effectiveness against hospitalization and were 90% effective in preventing intensive care unit admission. The study examined more than 100,000 hospitalizations for COVID-19 among people age 50 and older.
