Land dispute pauses La. levee project


A dispute over land value has brought work to a halt on the $760 million West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Hurricane Levee in Louisiana. At issue is 364 acres of land owned by Nature Land Co. that the levee district has filed to expropriate for $492,800.
