Plans for LaGuardia Airport rail line paused


Heeding growing objections, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has put a hold on plans to build a $2 billion elevated rail line from New York City to LaGuardia Airport. Critics argued that Queens neighborhoods would be disrupted by the project, which was scheduled to begin construction this year.
