Mayors look to appeal to Buttigieg


Mayors nationwide are vying to personally meet with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and make their case for infrastructure projects. At stake is $660 billion of infrastructure funding to be channeled through the Transportation Department, with each city "putting its best foot forward to show that they're doing something different, and they're doing something special that's worth attention and ultimately worth money," said Kansas City, Mo., Mayor Quinton Lucas.
