Study: Reusable cups are greener than recyclable ones


Reusable cups and recyclable single-use cups both claim to be good for the environment, but the former is actually better, according to a life-cycle analysis by researchers at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. The study evaluated cups made out of different materials based on energy consumption, air acidification, carbon emissions, landfill impact and eutrophication.
