Many US adults struggling with medical bills, debt

A Commonwealth Fund survey found 45% of US adults either developed COVID-19, saw their income fall or lost their health coverage during the pandemic, and many who were directly affected by the pandemic are struggling to keep up with their medical bills. Researchers polled 5,450 Americans ages 19 to 64, and they found Black and Hispanic adults were more likely to be struggling with medical bills and debt than white adults.
