Study links melatonin in older adults to lower CRC risk

Older adults who used melatonin had a reduced risk for colorectal cancer, compared with those who did not use it, according to a study led by Naiqi Zhang, MPhil, of Lund University and published in Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology. "Findings from this study need to be confirmed by well-designed randomized clinical trials in the future," researchers wrote. Read the study.
