A study that used cardiac PET imaging linked myocardial flow reserve to adverse myocardial characteristics and stress myocardial flow reserve to markers of myocardial stress and injury in patients with aortic stenosis, researchers reported in JAMA Cardiology.  The study said PET imaging may help with early identification of patients at higher risk for heart failure.
