Researchers who studied learning, memory and other cognitive functions among women over the age of 50 found those who had breastfed their children outperformed those who did not breastfeed. The study, found in Evolution, Medicine, & Public Health, also found that longer duration of breastfeeding was linked to improved cognitive performance.
