Packard highlights SNMMI achievements over past year


SNMMI President Alan Packard said the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging community saw some wins over the past year, including the CMS decision to end its non-coverage policy for FDG-PET imaging of inflammation and infection, and the creation of the SNMMI Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force. Packard told the SNMMI Virtual Annual Meeting that while the group's efforts to create separate payment requirements for diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals fell short, SNMMI will continue working to reintroduce the legislation.
