Research explores ties between HF, insomnia symptoms


A study presented at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions suggests that heart failure could serve as an independent predictor of insomnia in adults. Researchers examined data from 17,910 people in the Health and Retirement Study and found that those with heart failure were almost twice as likely to experience insomnia symptoms as those without, and they also noted that heart failure was associated with difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep.
