Experts: 70% of ministroke patients do not receive follow-up imaging


A study presented during the RSNA 2021 annual meeting stated that 70% of patients who experienced transient ischemic stroke who were discharged from the emergency department with incomplete imaging do not undergo follow-up imaging. Black patients who are 85 years old or older and patients treated in larger hospital, within 30 days of discharge, have a higher occurrence of not completing their follow-up imaging.
