20% of physicians have considered nonclinical work

About 20% of US physicians have thought about leaving their current positions for nonclinical work, according to the Medscape Physician Nonclinical Careers Report 2021. More than 2,500 physicians took part in the survey, and 34% said general burnout was the main reason behind their consideration of other careers.
