Study links Epstein-Barr virus to MS

A cohort study involving 10 million young adults on active duty in the US military found that the risk for multiple sclerosis rose 32-fold following infection with the Epstein-Barr virus. The study, published in Science, observed that infection with other viruses did not cause a similar increase in MS risk.
