How philanthropy has shifted amid the pandemic


Many funders increased unrestricted grant-making in response to the coronavirus pandemic, but it remains to be seen whether those changes are here to stay, says Center for Effective Philanthropy President Phil Buchanan. Shifting power to underrepresented groups has become a priority, but funders must continue to "include people who historically have not been included," said Dedo Baranshamaje of the Segal Family Foundation.
