CDC updates indoor mask guidance for vaccinated people


The CDC has released new guidance advising "fully vaccinated people wear masks in public, indoor settings" in areas with high levels of COVID-19 transmission, citing data showing that some vaccinated individuals who tested positive for the Delta variant could transmit the variant to others. Director Rochelle Walensky said the revised guidance applies to schools, and the agency advises everyone in grade schools, "including teachers, staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status," to wear masks indoors.
