ORNL solvent recovers materials from Li-ion batteries


Researchers from Oak Ridge National Laboratory have developed an environmentally friendly and wet chemical process to recycle materials from lithium-ion batteries. The process relies on a triethyl-phosphate-based solvent to recover cathodes containing cobalt, graphite and other materials.
