Earnings outlook good for chemicals, says analyst


Many chemical companies reported an increase in earnings in 2021 despite inflation and pandemic-related challenges, and 2022 will likely be another strong year for earnings growth, said Wells Fargo analyst Michael Sison. "We believe the combination of positive volume growth and pricing finally catching up to inflation should keep organic sales growth in the mid-to-high single digits in 2022, which assumes positive global GDP," said Sison.
