Washington U. biotech researcher receives EPA grant


Tae Seok Moon, associate professor of energy, environmental and chemical engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, has been awarded a $744,262 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to develop microbes that will self-destruct after completing their set task, such as clearing pollution. The funds will also be used to develop a lab-based system for safely studying microbes in conditions that reflect the real world.
