Global agreement on plastic waste gaining momentum


Talks to formulate a global agreement on plastic waste are picking up speed, with the 30 countries backing the idea at a UN conference and the American Chemistry Council and the International Council of Chemical Associations collaborating on a five-point plan in support of the proposal. "I think a global agreement would elevate the issue, much like we're talking about with CO2 emissions," said ACC Board Chair and Dow Chairman and CEO Jim Fitterling.
