Long COVID studies could yield treatment for old disease


Some people with long COVID-19 are developing chronic fatigue syndrome and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, an autonomic nervous system disorder with which few physicians are familiar. The NIH has requested proposals for post-COVID syndrome studies, and David Goldstein, who heads the NIH's Autonomic Medicine Section, says one offshoot could be better treatments for POTS.
