Study of pelvic floor muscles awarded $1.36M grant


The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has won a $1.36 million grant from the NIH for its study of pelvic floor muscles in pregnant women. Researchers aim to create a way to detect weaknesses in the muscles using magnetomyography, which charts magnetic fields created by electrical currents within the muscles when they are active.
