$1.5M grant goes to diabetes, fetal development study


The National Institutes of Health has awarded a $1.5 million grant to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for its study of pregnant women with diabetes and the neurodevelopment of their unborn children. Researchers will monitor participants with blood tests and fetal brain activity tools to learn more about how maternal diabetes affects their babies.
