Veterans' brain injuries, early cognitive decline linked


Researchers discovered that mild traumatic brain injury during combat situations may lead to early cognitive decline within seven years of the event, according to a study in the journal PLOS ONE. Cognitive function after the injury is comparable to the function seen in patients with early-stage Parkinson's disease.
