Blended materials study wins $600K Defense Dept. grant


The Defense Department has awarded a grant of close to $600,000 to the University of North Dakota for its study of blended materials with traits similar to ceramics and metals. Research will focus on a class of materials known as MAB phases, which, once understood, might be used for a number of applications.
