Canadian radio telescope data offers hints about FRBs


The Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment radio telescope is offering researchers new clues about the mysterious signals from space known as fast radio bursts, scientists revealed during the 238th American Astronomical Society meeting. "This is the first large sample of FRBs discovered with a single survey, and all detected in the same way and all analyzed in the same way," allowing studies of a set of FRBs rather than single specimens, said researcher Kiyoshi Masui at the meeting.
