Young planet captured in unique image


Researchers watching a young planet about 430 light-years away have captured a rare direct image of it. The planet, 2M0437b, is young enough to still have some heat from its formation, though it is far enough away from its host star that it gets no light from it, according to findings published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
