NRF maintains optimistic holiday outlook


Consumers turned out to shop over Thanksgiving weekend and NRF is maintaining its forecast for holiday sales growth of between 8.5% and 10.5%, despite concerns about the Omicron coronavirus variant. In light of the variant, consumers could shift where they spend this month from experiences, like vacations and trips to the movies, to other categories including apparel, electronics and toys, NRF CEO Matthew Shay said.
