What's behind Dollar Tree's plan to raise prices?


Relatively low inflation over the past few decades has allowed Dollar Tree to keep its strategy of selling nearly everything in the store for $1, even as other dollar store retailers raised their prices. That changed last week with the announcement that Dollar Tree will raise prices on most goods to $1.25 to offset costs as the inflation rate continues to rise.
