4 ways a student life department improved its workplace


Increasing leadership development opportunities and providing clearer goals and metrics are two key factors that contributed to the success of workplace improvement efforts by the Staff Engagement Advisory Board for MIT's Division of Student Life, staff members Tasha Coppett, Liz Green and Suzy Nelson write. A quality-of-work survey in the division in 2016 showed that only 60% of staff were satisfied with the department's communication, collaboration and other workplace elements, leading to the creation of the advisory board, they note.
