Should teachers ignore some student behaviours?
Teachers more likely were to help curb minor disruptive behaviour by students by ignoring it, according to a study conducted by researchers from the University of Exeter Medical School. Professor Tamsin Ford says the approach takes patience and suggests teachers praise students when they follow the rules.

Australian state expands behaviour programme
Victoria, Australia, is set to expand to all schools a programme that rewards students for acting positively after it was shown to improve classroom behaviour and grades as well as curb suspensions in some schools. The state is providing funding over four years to support the rollout of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support.

School seeks to use tech to locate students
Students at a private school in France are being asked to wear Bluetooth-enabled tracking devices that will allow teachers to instantly take attendance and find students if they are not in class. Students who do not wear the device or forget it at home could be subject to a fine.
