Target and the Target Foundation have committed to invest $100 million over the next four years in programs, nonprofits and other groups dedicated to amplifying Black voices. The plan includes scholarships for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and the retailer will also be a founding supporter of Detroit's Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design, which is slated to reopen in March.
Macy's has signed a long-term deal with sports gear merchandiser Fanatics to expand Macy's offerings of sports apparel, fan gear and other sports-related merchandise through its digital channels. The products will be available on Macy's website and mobile app, and Fanatics will handle order fulfillment and shipping.

Bloomingdale's small-format Bloomie's store that opened in Virginia this summer features rotating curated collections of luxury goods, tailored to local tastes and designed with millennials and Gen Zers in mind. The store is the first Bloomie's location and the retailer expects to learn from shoppers as it makes plans for the concept, Bloomingdale's executive Denise Magid said.

CKE Restaurants Holdings has combined the operations and supply chain functions of its Hardee's and Carl's Jr. chains and promoted longtime executive John Dunion to chief operating officer.
