Bed Bath & Beyond to evaluate retail banners

Bed Bath & Beyond has launched a review of its banners, which also include Cost Plus World Market and Christmas Tree Shops, as part of a larger turnaround strategy, interim CEO Mary Winston said. Plans also call for organization restructuring, cost-cutting moves and other efforts to boost sales, she said.

Ace Hardware picks Benjamin Moore as primary paint supplier
Ace Hardware has named Benjamin Moore as its primary paint supplier, a move expected to eliminate Sherwin-Williams from many Ace stores. Benjamin Moore will sell its namesake products at Ace stores and, later this year, will begin manufacturing Ace's private-label Clark+Kensington paint brand.

Fashion retailers feed demand for matching family looks
Dressing the entire family in matching outfits is a growing trend, and retailers from Target and H&M to Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue are re-creating grownup fashions in kids' sizes. "We started with the holidays -- the Fourth of July, Father's Day, Mother's Day -- but now it's really become an everyday trend," said Andres Dorronsoro, an executive at Old Navy, which has expanded its matching family fashion lineup over the past two years.
