Increasing Severe Weather: How Two Counties Tackle a Growing Problem

According to the National Weather Service, nearly 530 people were killed by severe weather incidents in 2018. Regardless of where they are located, emergency management teams face emerging challenges while trying to improve their emergency response to an increasing amount of natural disasters.


Missoula County in Montana and Montgomery County in Texas may be located in vastly different areas of the U.S., but emergency management teams in both locations are paving the way for innovative incident preparation and response.
