Study: Vitamin C supplements may be effective against hypertension
An analysis of 29 clinical studies showed that vitamin C supplements have a modest effect in lowering blood pressure levels. Researchers found that taking 500 milligrams of vitamin C supplements daily for about two months was associated with an almost 4-point reduction in systolic pressure and about a 1.5-point reduction in diastolic pressure.
